Death sentence on Filipino final–Chinese embassy

MANILA, Philippines— It’s final. That’s what spokesmen for both the Chinese embassy and the Department of Foreign Affairs said of the decision of the Supreme People’s Court of China affirming the drug trafficking conviction and death sentence of a Filipino scheduled for execution next week.
Ethan Sun Yi, deputy chief of the embassy’s political section and mission spokesperson, told the Philippine Daily Inquirer on Thursday that “as far as I know, it is [final].”
DFA spokesman Raul Hernandez said exactly the same thing, but added that “our government is appealing that the death penalty be commuted to life imprisonment for humanitarian reasons.”
On Wednesday, Hernandez said the execution of the 35-year-old man, whom he did not identify, had been scheduled for December 8, even as President Benigno Aquino III has appealed to Chinese President Hu Jintao to commute the death sentence.
The condemned man “should be in Guangxi [province] where he was arrested in 2008,” according to Sun.
The Filipino was arrested on Sept. 13, 2008 at the Guilin International Airport upon arrival from Malaysia. Chinese airport authorities found nearly 1.5 kilos of heroin in his possession.
He was later convicted by the High People’s Court of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, a decision that was affirmed by China’s highest court in late November.
According to Hernandez, Aquino’s letter to his Chinese counterpart requested the commutation of the  death penalty to life imprisonment. It was delivered by Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario to Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Liu Jianchao last Wednesday.
Del Rosario said DFA officials had met with the convict’s family, who requested that “his name and his origin not to be released by the DFA under any circumstances.”
“I am afraid we have to respect their request,” said the DFA chief in a text message to the Philippine Daily Inquirer.
Meanwhile, Vice President Jejomar Binay is “still awaiting word” from the Chinese embassy regarding his planned trip to Beijing, said Joey Salgado, his media officer.
Binay’s office announced on Wednesday that he would be carrying the President’s letter to Hu and that the DFA was making arrangements for his trip to the Chinese capital “at the earliest time possible.”
Last February, Binay made a similar trip to China where he obtained a month-long stay of execution of three convicted drug mules — Ramon Credo, Sally Ordinario-Villanueva and Elizabeth Batain.

10 Signs you're Falling in Love

1. You forget to eat.
Super telltale. Forgetting to eat means you’re not only distracted, but that you also want that person more than you want food, so you forget all about it.
2. You catch yourself smiling.
A little love in your system can surprise you so much, you can’t help but smile. It’s half because you feel so good, and half because you’re laughing at yourself.
3. You can’t look at the person.
Suddenly, it’s impossible to hold a decent conversation with the object of your affection, because you’re afraid if you look them in the eye, they’ll be able to tell you’re melting for them inside. A good trick: talk to their forehead.
4. You think about them when you’re getting dressed in the morning.
Don’t pretend you’ve never done it. You start analyzing whether he or she would like the blue shirt better, and putting a little more effort into your hair. No harm done!

5. You realize you miss them when they’re not around.
If you’re used to seeing the object of your affection at work or class and then one day they’re not there, you’ll feel like your whole day was wasted.
6. You get jealous about odd things.
You find out they saw a movie last night and now you are enraged. Why didn’t they think to invite you? Who did they go with?? Your ears turn red as you try and mask your jealousy.
7. You’ve pictured what your children would look like.
Oops.
8. People say you’re glowing.
The feeling of being in love is physical, and like laughter, it can have healing, rejuvenating benefits. This is one of the reasons it’s okay to revel in your feelings, even if they’re for the wrong person — just don’t make any stupid mistakes.
9. You’ve suddenly become Donna Reed.
Male or female, you start bringing cookies and brownies to share with the office or class, and you glance to see that the object of your obsession has noticed. And, you keep your apartment neat and tidy in case they might come over — these are definitely signs you’re falling.
10. You can’t concentrate on work.
Maybe even as you read this article, you’ll glance and realize that half an hour has gone by. That’s because you’re daydreaming. And you are in looo-oooove.

Retreat Seminar

Retreat means a religious or spiritual term for time taken to reflect or meditate.Yes,that's what we did with the D.Y.A.(Diocesan Youth Apostolate) of the Lupon Parish on November 25-27,2011 that was held at St.Vincent Ferrer Parish Center.
Such a great experience for I have discovered some things and added to my knowledge which is all about God and ways on how to serve Him.There are different ways to serve God and one of these is leading-leading the co-youth in our own church.Yes leading, actually thats the reason why somebody sent me to that particular seminar.Luckily,my mind absorbed the words and messages that the seminar wants to tell or express.
Now I am sure that my skill in leading is now on the higher level compared to the skill that I had before entering and attending the Retreat Seminar.Upon attending the seminar,I discovered a different meaning of RETREAT.Here it is:
R-est
E-nergize
T-ake time
R-eflection
E-xperience
A-cceptance
T-hanksgiving
All of these are the things needed for those people who sereve God.

The Greatest Lover

In my heart I feel sometimes empty
But when I look up in heaven
Jesus told me to say AMEN!!!

Our family do love us always
Our friends love us in every ways
But God shows His everlasting love
No matter He can't see any prove

The hurt in my heart that I feel,
He's the only one who make it heal
I'm not afraid to have a wound
'Coz God's medicine can always be found

Times that I don't have destination
God always shows our deep relation
Now my wide mind was enlighten
Completeness of my soul was proven

He is the only lamp into my feet
And He is the light to my path
He's my God,my Greatest lover
Guide of my life forever and ever!!!

All Saint's Day

November 1,is the commemoration of "All Saint's Day".All of the Saints  were remembered and praised.Their doings or what they have done when they were alive, were all adored, valued and remembered by people.Mostly of the people specially Catholics people offered a prayer for all of the Saints. Some of the Saints were devoted by people because for them,Saints were able to help anyone to pray for the Lord Jesus and helped people in praying to make their pains and diseases healed.
As one of the Catholic people, me and my family offered a prayer for the Saints. We prayed a rosary offered for the Saints who might helped us to pray to Jesus and of the Holy people who helped our God to guide us.
Let us remember  and value the things which they have done when they were still alive. The sacrifices that they have made, and the pains that they suffered and endured. May all of those good examples will serve as our guide in our lives and straighten the direction of our path in each and everyone of us.

Basic networking concepts and technologies.

a. Bandwidth and data transmission
Ø  Bandwidth is a term used to describe how much information can be transmitted over a connection. Bandwidth is usually given as bits per second, or as some larger denomination of bits, such as Megabits per second, expressed as kbit/s or Mbit/s. Bandwidth is a gross measurement, taking the total amount of data transferred in a given period of time as a rate, without taking into consideration the quality of the signal itself.

Ø  Data transmission means the transportation of information from internet to your computer or sending and receiving data via cables.

b. IP Addressing
Ø  Internet Protocol Address (or IP Address) is a unique address that computing devices use to identify itself and communicate with other devices in the Internet Protocol network. Any device connected to the IP network must have a unique IP address within its network. Consists of four numbers, each of which contains one to three digits, with a single dot (.) separating each number or set of digits. Each of the four numbers can range from 0 to 255. Here's an example of what an IP address might look like: 78.125.0.209.
c. (DHCP) Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
Ø  This protocol is used to assign IP addresses to hosts or workstations on the network. Allows a computer to join an IP-based network without having a pre-configured IP address. DHCP is a protocol that assigns unique IP addresses to devices, then releases and renews these addresses as devices leave and re-join the network.
d. Internet Protocol and Application
Ø  Specifies the format of packets, also called datagrams, and the addressing scheme .Each IP packet includes both a header (that specifies source, destination, and other information about the data) and the message data itself. Most networks combine IP with a higher-level protocol called Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), which establishes a virtual connection between a destination and a source.
e. ICMP( Internet Control Message Protocol)
Ø  Is one of the core protocols of the Internet Protocol Suite. It is chiefly used by the operating systems of networked computers to send error messages indicating, for example, that a requested service is not available or that a host or router could not be reached. ICMP can also be used to relay query messages.
